The year is 80 ABY the Force War have just recently ended and the last of the Jeeno droids has finally been destroyed. Although finally free from these cybernetic monsters, the Galaxy has been pushed into almost complete anarchy. Those governing bodies that remain are holding onto their power, but barely. No government was sparred all have suffered greatly from “the War”. The listing of the current governments and their heads of state is below...
The Republic Remnants: Lead by Chancellor Reelo Tetsu (a Rodian) the Republic currently is running under Marshal Law. None the less many refugees have begun to flee to the traditional strong hold of the old Republic. This influx of refugees is a big political issue as the Republic is already short on recourses. The government is run from the planet Coruscant, where the Senate is currently ruled by Tetsu and his Central Party. Most of the planets in the Republic are currently being run by a Republic general and their armies under orders from the Senate. Lots of combat centered job opportunities are here as well.
How to enter Republic Space: In order to gain "official" access to Republic Space you must get clearance and approval from The Republic Army. The Orders (and its members) will need approval directly from the Senate to travel through. All illegal travelers currently are executed on sight if they are captured.
The Imperial Remnants: Under the rule of the King Keendoo Fen (a Talortai) the Imperial Remnant have ejected their former Sith Master well at the same time keeping much of the Sith’s power structure. King Keendoo Fen rules from the same Imperial thrown and planet that Matas once ruled from. Largely the Imperial sector is run a lot like the Republic. Instead of generals ruling planets and sectors though under the Imperial system they are under control of Moffs and their forces who take direct orders from the King. The Imperial Remnants has a large number of soldiers, all of whom are extremely loyal to the King. That said their economy, recourses, and “war abilities” is weak like the rest of the universe.
How to enter “Imperial Space”: In order to have "official" access to Imperial Space you need clearance and approval from the Moff Council. The Orders will need approval directly from the King to travel through. All illegal travelers currently are executed on sight if they are captured.
Hutt controlled space: The strongest Hutt is Jabba Desilijic Tiure Junior. The self proclaimed son of the legendary Jabba the Hutt. He though is really only "rules" on Nal Hutta and Nar Shaddaa although his influence can reach far away from the famous planet and moon. Hutt space is mostly a gangster's paradise. Any group can come and go as they please. Destroy and fight against whoever you see fit, but be careful in this old west environment it’s very easy to be stabbed in the back. Jabba Junior as well as other Hutts have been hiring the few remaining Force Users as body guards at huge prices. The Hutts “army” is really just a huge gang of gangsters and mercenaries under the control of Jabba Jr.
The Hutts control crime far and wide having small holdings in almost every area of known space. They usually are fighting against the Crime Syndicate to keep control of these areas. This is another good place for job opportunities.
Crime Syndicate Controlled Space: Under the ruthless control of the mobster Zeusa Sun (a human male) this huge Criminal Empire is the heir to the legacy of the Black Suns. Rivaling the Hutts for control of the world of crime the Syndicate has created a large confederation of corrupted planets. Much like Hutt Space anyone is allowed to travel through, but be expected to see trouble. Here the weak are controlled by the strong, and the strong are controlled by the invincible. The Syndicate's tentacles travel far and wide and have small holdings in almost every area of known space. They are currently in a gang war with the Hutts on these other planets. Direct war against the two sectors has yet to happen though.
Small Confederation of Planets: There are multiple different confederation of planets under different banners/organizational bodies. Largely these areas have been cut off from the rest of the universe and have joined resources in order to create stability for their planets and people. Others have a large history of independence and are reestablishing control of areas that they haven't controlled for millennia. The Mandalorian controlled planets would be an example of this type. This are is easy to travel through.
Individual Planets controlled by Individual Sovereignty is what it sounds like single planets that are under the control and answer only to their planetary governmental system.
Others: Areas/planets controlled by no recognized group that are in a even larger state of anarchy. There places are where the Force War have had the largest impact. Entire planets and sectors are hardly standing. Certain races have only a few hundred members that have survive the Jeenos attack. Some areas are currently in a constant state of war between different groups (planets, gangs, warlords, and the like).
The three "Force Orders" were almost completely destroyed. As the main victims of the Jeeno's genocide almost every known Jedi, Sith, and Grey Jedi, have either been killed or are MIA because of the war. The few that did survive are either scattered throughout the universe or have turned away from the Force. Many news agencies report that all Force Users have been killed by the Jeeno. So in other words to the people of the universe at large they’re aren’t any force users left REMEMBER THIS WHEN WRITING YOUR ROLEPLAYS.
The truth of the matter is that a few Force Users did survive. Of those that did only four individuals had the strength to reestablish the Orders. These New Orders were all restored at about the same time and they are....
The New Jedi Order: With all of the recent Jedi Grand Master either dead or MIA (Jaden Mustki and Grand Master Urwen) the Jedi Order ceased to exist for a few years. Reestablished the order feel on the shoulders of Talon Ordo after most of the Jedi were either killed or have gone missing due to the war. Talon Ordo was the former co-founder of the Grey Jedi but he was later exiled from the Grey's years ago due to his philosophical view points and his refusal to bow to Jecht (the first ruler of the Grey Order and co-founder of said Order with Talon). Talon reestablished the Order largely due to the memory of his family and his former Master (Talon was Grand Master Jaden Mustki prodigy Padawan). Talon’s reestablished Order is different then all past “Jedi Orders”. It now includes many members that would have once been considered heretics and runs on a more open system then the Old Orders have in the past. In the new Order all kinds of philosophical view points of the Force are tolerated. The only “dogmatic” belief is the idea of individual liberty and personal responsibility. The Jedi Order currently controls only the planet Ruusan.
The New Grey Jedi Order: The mysterious death/MIA status of Grand Wraith Whisper along with Shadow, Volsh, Jecht(former leader and co-founder of the original Grey Jedi Order with Talon Ordo), and others lead to what many thought was the end of the entire self proscribed "Republic of Shadows". Tanya though survived along with her husband Walker. These two have decided to reestablish the Order with Tanya now as leader. Currently her title is simply known as "Leader of the Grey Jedi Order". Tanya and Walker have both proven themselves to be strong warriors so it will be interesting to see in what direction they take the Order. The new Grey Jedi Order currently only controls Geonosis.
The New Sith Order: Lead by the former Emperor Matas this order was barely reconstructed. The once great Emperor seems to be the only known Sith survivor. After losing the title of Emperor when the Imperial Remnant rejected the Sith as their rulers, Matas was exiled away from the Imperial Capital. Since then Darth Matas has reclaimed the title of “Dark Lord of the Sith”, and has started to rebuild the Sith Order in his own image. Darth Matas is the only leader of an old Order who has survived the Force Wars. Whether this will be an advantage or a disadvantage has yet to been proven. Currently the new Sith Order controls Korriban.
Presently our members can only join one of the three Force Orders, or they most declare themselves to be Independent. The other factions are all controlled by NPCs and are universally under the control of the staff to be used for storyline purposes. As we gain more members these other factions will be put into members hands, sometime down the road.
In order to work for the NPC factions (outside a saga) you must be an Independent or have permission from your faction leader/ the staff.
Things to keep in mind when you are roleplaying:
1. The universe is in almost complete Anarchy.
2. Some of the NPC factions are hostile to outsides. If you want to travel through said areas you need to get permission or suffer the consequences.
3. Most NPCs you will meet believe that all Force Users in the universe have been killed in the war. Remember by in large the Media is reporting this. On the other hand rumors of Force Users still existing does exist, but is seen as an urban myth by most.
4. Although many “regular people” npcs don’t think there are any more Force Users all the NPC faction leaders and NPCs in power do know some Force Users have lived. So in other words if in a roleplay a Senator confronts you they wouldn’t be completely shocked if you where a Force User. This is specifically important when dealing with members of the Hutts and the Crime Syndicate who have been hiring the few remaining Force Users for their gang wars.
5. On their planets the “Big three” Force Orders have made themselves known. For that reason NPCs on these planets would know the some Force Users have survived the War.
6. All known Jeeno have been destroyed. We may bring one or two back for Saga purposes, but you will not be finding them anywhere else.
